I love words and looking up their meaning and origins in the dictionary. ‘Clutter’ is a variant of the word ‘clotern’ which means ‘to form clots, to heap on’ (c 1400). The sense of ‘to litter a place by a disorderly mass of things’ was first recorded in 1660. I’m not suggesting that you have clutter going back nearly four hundred years, but it might feel that way sometimes!

One of the things that I love about Sacred Dearmouring is that it allows the body to release trapped trauma and blocks and we don’t even need to know what it’s about – we simply support the body to let go of any refuse and anything that it no longer needs. Compare that, with hours spent in therapy, discussing what happened in our childhood … The body is incredibly efficient at releasing what isn’t of value to us; if only we can support it to do so, and this is what dearmouring is all about.
